Seixal is a small, riverside town upon the southern banks of the River Tagus. The town is full of charm and feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon. Seixal has beautiful views across the river towards the city skyline. A twenty-minute ferry will take you across the river and into Lisbon.
The cost of living here is much lower than Lisbon but may not provide enough excitement for those looking to socialise in the evenings. Seixal is occupied predominantly by locals. The ex-pat community here is small and co-work spaces are few, if not, non-existent.

Seixal is a wonderful place if you want it a bit slower but with some nice restaurant options and pretty river views from the costal promenade. There are some expats and tourists but locals do predominate. The access to Lisbon is easy via ferry and close enough to dive or take a ride-share also, if needed. By being over the bridge, all the beaches and wineries of Setubal are easily reached within 20-30 minutes. - Larry, Mar 2025
